Testimonials
I must give much gratitude, admiration and respect to my dear friend Courtney Putnam, healer extraodinaire/Reiki Master. Though the transfer of energy through her sweet, intuitive spirit/hands, I have let go of a lifetime of grief, been filled to over-flowing with self-love, and been 100% HEALED OF PAIN since Tuesday. Chronic, intense pain that took over every aspect of my life for the past ten years (ankle, hips, back) is totally gone. It is a strange and wonderful feeling that I have to get used to. I am still pinching myself.
Thank you, Courtney. Also, your art, writing and healing are a triple whammy of love and wisdom.

I can personally testify that you do indeed make a difference to your clients. When I was in the middle of my cancer journey you helped me more than any of the other health care professionals I saw, and there was no shortage of them. Some people are healers, regardless of what we call ourselves, and you are in the club! Thank you for that.

I faithfully have two appointments a month with Courtney and I have brought at least five friends to her, as well. I’m always surprised with the diversity of each session. I’m a Type A person who has trouble sitting still for even a short period of time; yet, I relax the minute I walk in the comfort of Courtney’s studio. I fall asleep almost every time even though I’m not a nap taker. I’ve learned to carry the relaxation with me between sessions. Courtney performs miracles! She is a natural healer and therapist, and she is very attuned to each individual’s needs. Courtney is sensitive, caring, empathic, and one of the most amazing women I have ever met.

Courtney’s warmth is palpable in every healing touch and gentle kindness that she shares, her hands’ Reiki heat complemented by the tender fires of a true heart. Her hands do so much more than soften the knots in my shoulders and neck; in their tacit acceptance of my imperfect body, I know myself to be understood.

What an honor it is to offer testimony to the tremendous healing power and loving energy Courtney offers to her clients. From the moment she opens the door to greet you , to the beautiful space she has created to work in, the ceremony begins.
I came to Courtney as a gift from a friend when I was diagnosed with a life threatening illness. I was struggling to find someone grounded enough, strong enough to hold space with me as I danced between life and death. I come from an indigenous culture where we have healing ceremonies that go so deep the earth shakes. I found this in my work with Courtney. She creates ceremony that is as powerful as any I have experienced. She holds space with grace, love and strength. She stood with me throughout this healing process. I am convinced that working with Courtney is an integral part of my healing. It is with deep gratitude that I share this for a powerful medicine woman, a shaman, a healer – Courtney.

Courtney has an enormously healing presence — more so than almost anyone I have ever met. The fact that she is a healer, massage therapist, writer, artist and lover of life gives her a big foundation. She has so much to offer as a healer but also a model for living life. Her approach is holistic, and she incorporates the emotions and spirit into everything she does.
You can be confident that Courtney will honor all aspects of you, no matter what modality you are working in. Her counseling and coaching skills are superb. She listens deeply, hearing not only what you are saying but she seems to take in deeply WHO YOU ARE. Plus, she’s a whole heck of a lot of fun.
I feel blessed to know Courtney and have her as a resource that I can offer to clients who are looking for healing on different levels or inspiration in uncovering deeper levels of creativity.

I wish I could give everyone I love an hour a week in Courtney’s studio. What she offers in this cozy healing oasis is the absolute body-and-soul-work package. I have been to massage practitioners who had soothing ambiance, soft ample sheets, or personalized aromatherapy; gently intuitive hands, or powerful knot-busting arms and elbows; warm rocks on the chakras, cool cloths over the eyes, or a water glass and pitcher left in the room. But I never experienced all of these elements in one place until Courtney. Into this thorough and exceptionally thoughtful assembly she also brings visualization technique, breath affirmation, even color therapy and card reading if appropriate. Courtney is an insightful and generous partner in your wellness process; the cocoon of her studio and the strength of her touch–intimate but not at all invasive–gives you new ways to see yourself and the space you inhabit, a sense of grace unequivocal.

Courtney, what a fabulous “Learning to Let Go” workshop! I don’t want to jinx it, but so far, no more headaches! When I feel one coming on, I get up and MOVE! Swing my arms around, move my neck side to side, stretch my shoulders, big exhales. And I’ve been sleeping well too. So, I’d say that’s a huge success, and your workshop made that possible.
It was wonderful to see you in your element. Your voice is calm and soothing and I was enraptured the whole time. I’m so proud of you for creating a niche for yourself. You are following your heart and soul and it shows in everything you do.
Corbin Lewars, writer, Seattle WA
Each time I get a massage from you, there is something that’s new or different: this time there was the bell, the feather blowing away unhealthy and unwanted thoughts and feelings, and the pulling of the “Letting Go” card. I just want to thank you so much for pouring your heart and soul in to the massage. I really admire how much you are doing to make the world a better place.

Thank you, Courtney, for living your life out-loud so you inspire the rest of us to make each day precious!

Multi-hyphenate Courtney Putnam’s spiritual journey through herself and life’s lessons are inspiring, candid and deeply felt and expressed in her blog The Healing Nest. A Reiki therapist-teacher by trade, and artist by temperament, she massages the body on the one hand, and the mind and soul with the other. So talented.

Besides being a very modest person, I have fibromyalgia and so was fearful that massage could hurt me or cause muscle problems to be exacerbated. My kids brought Courtney, as a gift, to my house after a particularly stressful time in my life. Courtney made me comfortable immediately.
My fears melted away under Courtney’s sensitive treatment. The whole experience was wonderful.
After just a few visits, muscles that have given me trouble for years began to melt away. She also showed me where to apply pressure to myself to tame a particularly bad area that haunts me.
Now, massage is no longer for “the others.” I’m a believer.

Living an exceptionally busy life, I sometimes forget about taking time for myself until my body demands it with a pang of pain or a knot in places I didn’t know I had. After weeks of tendonitis in my elbow, I decided to search for a solution and from past experience, massage works. Finding Courtney was a blessing. Her healing hands revived the energy in my exhausted muscles and angry tendons. She patiently and tirelessly works out the troubled spots.
The environment and care provide a safe haven where my emotional barriers can relax as well. Healing energy emanates from her hands, and she massages from the heart. I leave relaxed, refreshed and looking forward to my next appointment.

My sore, clenched muscles went to heaven. Courtney gives a strong, nurturing massage and I could sleep without pain for once.

Like one’s favorite musician or artist who is able to piece together and produce that memorable album or art piece one after another, they have that unique ability to communicate and deliver that familiar sound or enjoyable style and at the same time, always adding new elements that keeps it all refreshing, relevant and original.
That is like the massage work of Courtney.

To have sore muscles soothed would be miraculous enough, but Courtney also possesses a quiet power to touch the psyche. In subtle, non-intrusive ways, she engenders in me a deeper understanding of what life is dishing out in my present moment. I really don’t know how she does it, but no matter–it feels transcendent.

Work days spent drafting on a computer cause my shoulders to creep up, get hunched up, stiff and tied up in knots. It all melts away in Courtney’s professional and talented care. I frequently recommended her to friends. Massage with Courtney should be a part of everyone’s health routine.

When I first met Courtney Putnam in Massage school, I did not know anything about Reiki. The quality of Courtney’s energy and her genuine caring and concern for all the people around her made me curious. This may sound funny but I wondered, does Reiki express itself through Courtney’s presence, or is she simply that kind and compassionate by nature? In any case, my interest was piqued and I set up an appointment with Courtney to experience her work.
The session was extremely relaxing and it seemed to help me on a very deep level. It is challenging to explain, but the Reiki session with Courtney helped me to put some personal concerns into perspective and not feel so overwhelmed by my perceived problems. After the appointment, I felt more centered, more peaceful and more hopeful. I highly recommend Courtney as both a Reiki practitioner and a massage therapist.

As someone who carries a lot of tension and chronic pain, I have been to many massage therapists seeking relief from stress and pain. Courtney’s skills are a wonderful combination of intuition, knowledge, and sensitivity. She is able to offer stress relief and injury treatment in a way that is responsive to me as an individual, and to how my needs change from visit to visit. Courtney has also performed Reiki on me for relaxation, pain relief, and emotional release. I appreciate her professionalism, gentle nature, and extra perks, like a surprise footbath or fun sheets on the massage table.

The first time I saw Courtney, I was severely anxious to the point of almost having a panic attack. I wasn’t sure I’d even make my appointment, but I just had this feeling that I’d feel safe and supported with Courtney, and that was enough to get me to the appointment. And I was right.
I felt very safe and comforted by Courtney’s calming presence and sincere desire to help alleviate my discomfort. I was to start a new job the next day, and it was bringing up so many fears for me. She gave me a massage/reiki session. I was able to cry in her presence as I released emotion, and I felt a shift in my energy and spirit toward the end. I felt very calmed and nurtured by the reiki treatment and by Courtney’s presence. I left feeling calm and peaceful, and that everything would be all right. That feeling stayed with me throughout most of the week, which helped me survive my first week on the job.
I see Courtney for regular massage and reiki treatments to keep me balanced and grounded. I always feel safe, nurtured and validated in her presence, which is so important for my journey of self-healing and spiritual growth.

I bring lots of complaints about aches and pains to Courtney. She’s always impressed me with how she adapts technique and sensitivity, often sending me home with suggestions on how to take better care of myself. I always feel great after I see Courtney for a massage. I highly recommend her.

Receiving massages from Courtney is like eating my favorite ice cream: addictive. I often walk out the door after a massage and wonder that if I came back for another one, later that same day, would she think that I was nuts? I find her touch to be very relaxing and completely rejuvenating. Whether I just need to relax or get some therapeutic work done, Courtney has always delivered.
